anyway, back to the topic.
so who's the queen of edginess, and the fodder for all the tabloid trash that they keep printing out?
for starters, both have a somewhat kind of troubled childhood.
smoking, taking crack at the age of 14 or 15. (can't remember which is for which)
having a troubled life past the age of 20.
being cannon fodder for all the gossip in those trashy mags.
but ok enough of their personal life.
let's compare their musical styles.
lily allen's a more pop-ish style. more punk-ish in that aspect and more tongue-in-cheek.
while amy winehouse's is more towards the blues and soul side.
personally i'd prefer the jazzy soul music that amy comes out with.
but of course you can't neglect the music that lily come's out with.
especially when its like a cheeky dig at society today.
all in all i'd say that these 2 are proven performers in their own right.
and damn, do they look stunning.
i say, singapore should have some people strutting this 2 eclectic styles down the streets of orchard road someday
